Catching up to do.....

Well...I can't believe my last post was when I was sixteen weeks pregnant! That was forever ago.... that was even before the ultrasound, before we knew our sweet little miracle was a girl, before the second ultrasound (where she kept her little hands in front of her face the whole time so we couldn't see her), and before the Holidays 2009.
I am so happy that Savannah Sue is here with us! She was born in Silverton Hospital in Silverton, Oregon on November 29th, 2009 several days after Thanksgiving! My family was all here to welcome her into this big world! She is now 5 weeks old and life as a mother is starting to take more of a shape. I absolutely love being a mom! It is the coolest thing I have ever done in my life! It is also the most challenging..... being completely responsible for someone else's life, and existence! It is also the most rewarding! I received my first real smile from my little angel last week! It completely melted my heart! She completes me and our family so much, and she has my heart overflowing with love! I thank God every single day that we have together!

16 Weeks and Counting!

Yay!  Baby and I finally made it to the 2nd Trimester!
I am so glad because the lethargy and nausea
were getting old.  But I was thankful for it because
they say morning sickness is sign that everything
is going good and that the baby is healthy.
Now I am "impatiently" waiting to find out what the baby's gender is.
I want to start decorating the nursery and buying stuff.... :)
But I guess I need to start practicing patience to set a good example for our little one.

This is officially my first Prego Picture.  I am finally starting to feel
"pregnant" instead of frumpy and bloated!
I am also feeling so happy lately.... I just love what Monty and I have created!
I am loving our little family!  :)

Cute as a button!

I just love getting to spend time with Allie Jayde.
We have so much fun when we are together.  I got to go back home to see family in Evanston last weekend.  I miss my family so much.  I just love hanging out and spending time at Mom's house.  Little Allie is a little ball of energy and sunshine.  We got to "cook" pistachio pudding.  She is such a little doll.  I love her little imagination.  You can just see her little wheels turning in her head as she is thinking.  I absolutely cherish the time that I get to spend with her.  She is growing so fast.

Twin Lakes/Mt. Hood

So with Monty's new job we are forced to understand the concept of "Weekend Warrior".
"People who do recreational activities (such as skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking) solely on the weekends since they work Monday through Friday and may or may not be local to the area of these activities."-Wickipedia

We are trying to make the most of what is left of summer 2008.  No matter how hard we try we don't get out of the house until mid-afternoon... which makes for late night driving home on Sunday night.  Poor Monty, he is at work right now and here I am blogging and downloading pix from our trip.  :)  I love the fact that I work 3 12-hour shifts/week.  Being a Nurse certainly has its perks.
So we spent our sunday afternoon and evening hiking the Twin Lakes trail in Mt. Hood National Forest.  It is a trail that branches off of the Pacific Crest trail.  The Pacific Northwest is absolutely beautiful.  Mild climate, Green, and Moist... and hardly any pesky bugs!  We miss the Rocky Mountains so much so we find ourselves trying to fill that void by seeking higher elevation.  Here are some photos from our daytrip yesterday.  I am loving playing around with Monty's super-nice Cannon camera!  I recently decided that I have a passion for taking photographs!  It is my new hobby...   I love the pictures of Max the water loving CBR (Chesapeake Bay Retriever).

Married Life...

Monty and I are now officially hitched!  Yay!  Our wedding turned out so perfect!    We couldn't have pulled it off without the help and support of all of our family, friends and all of our awesome vendors... For anyone that has ever planned their wedding, you know how important all of those details are and how much time and effort you put into creating the perfect day that reflects you and your fiance's new life together....

Millcreek Inn was the perfect place for us to exchange our vows and start our life together!  We cannot even begin to express our appreciation for the photographer who captured the moments of our day so beautifully... Erin Kate Photography.... She is amazing!  We had so much fun dancing the night away, our DJ, Don Woodbury Productions, created a magical ceremony, a jazzy dinner, and a rockin' reception.  Val with Stella Posy put together simple and elegant bouquets and arrangements.  Rachel was so nice to work with at Bridal Dreams when it came time to pick out the perfect dress!

I am the Luckiest woman in the world to have Monty as my best friend, lover and now husband!  He is so amazing and inspiring!  We have so much to look forward to in this life together!
